Opal, 88 Cts, 0.6oz Natural Australian Opal Belemnite Fossil Specimen Parcel 13 Pieces, Shaped In The Rough From South Australia. Ranging from a 18 Cts piece to a small 3.5 Cts piece. The parcel pieces were cleaned up to expose color. More work to be done there. Some great colors specially in the medium pieces, reds, greens, blues. Some wonderful pendants can be made out of this lot. All have good color. Belemnites are pre historic sea creatures that roamed the Cretaceous sea over 100 millions year ago. Only Australian Belemnites are opalized. Making them a very rare gem stone. Its not easy to find good color displaying belemintes or otherwise known as ancient squid for this price.
